Our two-year Electrical Engineering Technician diploma program is designed to meet the needs of highly skilled technicians in the ever-expanding Electricity Sector.


The two main themes you will explore are Power Systems and Industrial Automation, covering topics such as Electrical Theory, PLC programming and troubleshooting, AC/DC Motors and Controls, Instrumentation and Controls, Power Systems, PV (Solar) Systems, CAD, and some 3D modeling, Power Electronics, and Computer programming.


We emphasize effective techniques for installing, modifying, testing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting equipment. You will learn these practical skills on our modern campus through in-class theory and hands-on labs. These will lead you to careers as CAD Technician, Electrical Installer, PV Installer, Quality Assurance, Field Service, Estimating, and Technical Sales.


Once you graduate, you will meet the academic requirements to become a Certified Technician (C.Tech.) by OACETT. You will also have pathways to the Electrical Engineering Technology and Energy Systems Engineering Technology – Electrical programs.
