Scholarships

The Camosun International Academic Advancement Scholarship acknowledges high academic achievement and community involvement. It is awarded annually to international students who have completed at least one year of full-time studies in an academic program at Camosun College.

To be eligible to apply for the Academic Advancement Scholarship, students must:

  1. Be an international student studying at Camosun College with a valid study permit,
  2. Have successfully completed at least two full-time semesters in an academic program by the scholarship application deadline,
  3. Have a GPA of 7.0 (A-) or higher,
  4. Have volunteered or been involved in projects that contribute to Camosun College student community and/or other communities in Victoria, and,
  5. Complete and submit the following documents to Camosun International:
    1. Scholarship Application Form
    2. A one page Cover Letter outlining your community involvement and/or volunteer activities
    3. A Reference Letter from your volunteer and/or community project supervisor

Dr. Gordon L. Diewert Community Service:

  • Entrance Award Value: $1000 The award is granted annually in the Fall of each year for a first-year Camosun student attending full-time, on the basis of good academic high school performance (minimum B average in grade 12) and leadership and/or community service. The recipient must have demonstrated participation in volunteer activities associated with the prevention of drinking and driving. Preference will be given to a student who took a leadership role in their high school Dry Grad activities.
