Program Overview

Employers across many industries, including power generation, mining, forestry, construction, manufacturing, healthcare, and more are seeking trained specialists to provide a strong safety culture and ensure safer workplaces. You’ll learn from leading industry experts from across the province to understand current occupational health and safety legislation and to identify, assess, and manage risks and hazards in a variety of work environments. 


You’ll also train in areas of workplace wellness and human resource management. Through scenario-based learning, and curriculum that will develop strong communication skills, you'll be equipped with the skills and knowledge employers are requiring. Learning will happen on campus, as well as virtually with several core courses delivered remotely in partnership with Lambton College and Seneca College. There is a mandatory full-time seven-week placement during the fifth semester in key industries. As a graduate, you'll qualify to write the Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST) examination.

Entrance Scholarship—Fall 2026

Overview To support their academic journey, Cambrian College is offering Entrance Scholarships to all new international students applying from inside or outside Canada for Fall 2026 programs.
Scholarship Amounts
  • $1,500 CAD for students applying from outside Canada
  • $1,000 CAD for students applying from within Canada
Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible, students must:

  • Be a new international student starting their first academic program at Cambrian College
  • Apply for the September 2026 intake
  • Submit their application through OCAS IAS by May 31, 2026 (NEW!)
  • Pay their first-semester tuition by June 30, 2026 (NEW!)
  • Obtain a study permit and remain registered past Day 10 of classes


English for Academic Purposes (EAPP) Students

Overview

EAPP applicants must also hold a conditional offer for a future academic program at Cambrian College to qualify. Scholarship amounts for EAPP students are based on their location at the time of application.
