Whitireia New Zealand
Whitireia New Zealand is a government-funded tertiary education institute of technology in New Zealand. It was previously known as Whitireia Community Polytechnic. It was established in 1986 on the shores of the Porirua harbor. It has become the tertiary institution of choice for over 6,000 students. The institute has been working with WelTec since 2012, to provide the best quality education and options to students.
There are more than 137 programs of study at certificate, diploma, bachelor's, and master's level. All the programs were developed in conjunction with the industries so that students learn the best practical skills.
Whitireia New Zealand has more than 6,500 students enrolled in various programs. More than 3,440 students are pursuing their full-time degree programs. And more than 1,500 international students are also enrolled in the institute.
There are more than 500 academic staff members, and the full-time student-to-faculty ratio at the institute is 8:1. The academic staff is highly qualified, committed to assuring the highest standards of education.
Whitireia New Zealand has more than 5 campuses in Auckland, Petone, Porirua, and Wellington. The Porirua campus is the main campus of the Whitireia and is located 20 minutes away from Wellington. Petone Campus is also a 15-minute drive from Wellington city. The campus has a library, gym, athletic field, hairdressing salon, and a cafeteria.
