About Moorpark College
Moorpark College opened its gates on September 11, 1967, for the first time to welcome 2,500 students. The college campus is located at the eastern edge of the city of Moorpark. It is among the most beautiful community colleges in California. Moorpark College subsists to afford equal prospects to postsecondary education at minimum cost to all those who wish to benefit themselves from it.
Why Moorpark College?
Variety of programs: The College offers 1,500 classes per semester in more or less 70 disciplines, including lower division training in a wide variety of transfer majors for the Baccalaureate degree and programs further towards the Associate degrees and Certificates of Achievement.
Accreditation: Recognized by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, Moorpark College is acknowledged by the Commission on Recognition of Postsecondary Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education.
State-of-the-art infrastructure: The 150-acre campus of the college includes 15 buildings, a football stadium, track, other athletic facilities, an exotic animal compound, and an observatory.
