Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University is a leading scientific and educational medical center, training physicians, pharmacists, clinical psychologists, social workers, and unique medical researchers (specializing in medical biochemistry, medical cybernetics, and medical biophysics). More than 12,000 people are enrolled annually in higher professional education programs at the University, and more than 10,000 in continuing professional education programs.

Since 2014, the University has been developing an automated system for continuing professional education, combining learning management and learning support functions. At the request of the Russian Ministry of Health, since 2015, Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University has been providing methodological and informational support for the portal for continuous medical and pharmaceutical education, whose primary function is to organize and track the educational activities of all healthcare professionals.

Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University actively works with applicants. We participate in projects run by the Moscow Department of Education and support specialized classes in over 50 schools in the Moscow region. We conduct classes for schoolchildren at the Center for Technological Support of Education. Our University Saturdays were recognized as the best in the Best Saturday competition in 2014, 2015, and 2019. The University offers preparatory courses, the Chem*Bio*Plus school of supplementary education, and the summer "Young Surgeon School" has attracted over 2,000 participants for the second year running.
