Northern Lights College is a post-secondary academic institution located in Northern British Columbia and established in 1975. Northern Lights College is a member of British Columbia Colleges and a group of 11 colleges located throughout the province of British Columbia. With a catchment area of 324,000 square kilometres, with campus locations in Chetwynd, Dawson Creek, Fort Nelson, Fort St. John and Tumbler Ridge with access centers in Atlin, Dease Lake and Hudson’s Hope.
Northern Lights College has a unique regional advantage and a l-collaboration with industry, employers, communities are designed to provide students the opportunity to obtain the classroom education, and supplement to make the successful transition from student to employees. This collaborative approach allows NLC to produces successful graduates with great skills and a bright future.
The college is a Centre of Excellence for British Columbia in three key areas of training: Oil and Gas, Clean Energy Technology, and Aerospace. NLC offers Upgrading, University Transfers and Online Courses. The institution has videoconference facilities available at all campuses. Programs at NLC are designed to provide students the opportunity to obtain the necessary classroom education, and supplement that with appropriate practicum or hands-on opportunities to make the successful transition from student to employee.

Northern Lights College - Fort Nelson Campus Admission Requirement
The following requirements must be fulfilled to get admitted to Northern Lights College
- International students are considered on case-by-case basis. There can be some additional requirements, depending on the program you are applying to.
- Students are required to submit their original transcripts from their last attended academic institutions. If they are not in English, then submit the translated copies of the same along with the originals.
- Should provide the certificate issued by the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) that compares educational credentials from other countries to educational standards in Canada.
- Applicants must be 18 years old at the time of the beginning of the course.
- You need to submit your English language proficiency test scores if you are coming from a non-English speaking country.
Please note:- If you are not a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada, you must obtain a valid study permit before you come to Canada.
