This course gives you an advanced understanding of molecular and computational biologies as well as the microbiological techniques at the forefront of technological developments in the field. It opens the door to a career in the biotechnology and allied industries.

Modern biotechnology is a hugely complex subject, drawing from a range of fields and technologies. On this course, you learn the latest new technologies in key areas; gain insights into how they are used in the global biotechnology industry; and discover how microbes can be used on an industrial scale to benefit humankind.

You also hone your research skills with a laboratory-based project in one of five taught areas: molecular biology; computational biology; applied microbiology; analytical biology; and biomaterials.

    A level and IB Scholarship for International Students

    • The University of Bedfordshire continually works to attract high calibre students, and in keeping with this we have introduced an A level and IB scholarship, worth £3000 off international tuition fees for each year of study.

    Prompt Payment Discount

    • A discount of £500 is available for prompt payment of each year’s fees in full, before or at the point of registration, for both undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes.

    International Scholarships
    In the first year only on either undergraduate or postgraduate degree courses, international students will receive a £1,000 VC Scholarship. An international student progressing to a higher level degree* will receive, in the first year only of the new course, both a £1,000 VC Scholarship and a £500 alumni discount. Additional discounts of £500 are available for prompt payment of the first year fees in full, before or at registration (undergraduate and postgraduate).
