Program Overview

This integrated course includes content from the undergraduate BEng degree, in addition to postgraduate degree content. You’ll graduate with a masters degree (MEng) upon completion. The programme will prepare you to be creative and innovative in addressing challenges from the implementation of the Internet of Things, Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0.

This course is for those students interested in developing their careers in areas of both theoretical and practical aspects of mechatronics engineering, with emphasis on implementation of practical design and development of mechatronics systems. This course also provides excellent preparation for students wishing to continue their study to doctoral level research.

The course has been designed to create effective multi-disciplinary Engineers who have acquired the necessary creative, technical and research skills to work within the broad spectrum of modern industry. You’ll gain advanced knowledge of mechatronics engineering, including optimal and intelligent mechatronics system design and development. The course will also cover engineering management and explore pioneering approaches in this field – encouraging you to solve both real-world and research-orientated problems.

    Scholarships

    The University of Gloucestershire Academic Merit Scholarship is a grades-based award, designed to reward academic merit.

    We hope to encourage those who receive the award to maintain a high level of academic achievement. Each scholarship is worth up to £1200, in the form of £400 annually for up to three academic years.

    To be eligible for this new scholarship, students will need to achieve a certain standard in their Level 3 results (128 tariff points or more from at least three full A-levels or equivalent on enrolment), then continue to do well in each year of study.
