With the growth of digital media, advertising has become more challenging. In order to stand out from competitors, organisations have shifted to more creative and innovative approaches to ensure their brand attracts attention and that advertising expenditure is effective.

This course puts advertising firmly in context of wider marketing and business activity. It is designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to work effectively in advertising and marketing. You will learn how to combine creativity with business strategy, create effective advertising messages, and produce convincing presentations to deliver ideas.

The course is business focused, and is designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to work effectively in advertising and marketing, measuring and monitoring success.This course offers you real hands-on experience of developing advertising, public relations and social media campaigns, often in collaboration with professional organisations or real clients who are looking for a creative communication solution. Our clients might be local, regional or global organisations.

Tourism Studies

Home of the Canterbury Tales and UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Canterbury is an ideal location for Tourism Studies.

You’ll gain specialist knowledge from experienced staff who are passionate about their teaching, and discover themes including dark tourism, film tourism and sustainability. Lectures and seminars are supported by a wealth of industry speakers and site visits. You will also have the chance to go on field trips abroad in years one and two, the costs of which are already included in your fees.You will be offered work experience/internships and can take advantage of our exciting Tourism and Events Research Hub, which has a reputation for winning successful research grants.
