As a Baking and Pastry Chef you will be a patient and detail-oriented visionary who creates breads, cakes, cookies and pastries and is ready to meet the demand for qualified bakers in Canada’s thriving hospitality industry.
Program Highlights
- The 125-acre Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake is located in the heart of Ontario’s thriving hospitality industry and serves as a living lab for students including, leading-edge baking facilities, a 40-acre on-site vineyard, Teaching Brewery, Teaching Winery, Teaching Distillery, Teaching Spa, Greenhouse/Nursery, hop yard, and apiary.
- Learning environment includes state-of-the-art equipment.
- Environmentally controlled chocolate and sugar lab.
- Program is housed at Niagara College’s Canadian Food and Wine and Institute and taught by world-class chef faculty.
- Access on-site training and employment opportunities at Benchmark, NC’s student-led restaurant, Bench-to-Go and the Bench-on-the-Go food truck.

Exclusive $2,000 CAD Scholarship
- All eligible students who apply from within Canada that hold a study permit applying for the Spring 2024 and Fall 2024 term starts will be eligible to automatically receive a $2,000 scholarship applied in the first term of study after Day 10 has passed.
- Replaces and renders void any previous entrance scholarship applications
- Applied to an academic program and is not able to be combined with any other entrance scholarship offers through Niagara College
- Payment of the fees indicated on students’ invoice less the scholarship amount are required to secure the seat in the program
