Program Overview

Foundation Program
Designed specifically for international students, the UWA Foundation program will help students improve their subject knowledge and English language skills. Students can progress to Year 1 of any undergraduate degree at The University of Western Australia (UWA) upon successful completion to the required level.

Leading to: Bachelor of Agribusiness/Bachelor of Science (Dual Degree)
In a competitive employment market, you will maximise your career options by developing strong agribusiness skills and gaining knowledge in a scientific discipline. You will graduate with two qualifications, having cut two years off the time it takes you to study two degrees. If you decide either degree isn’t right for you, you can exit one and complete the other.

Bachelor of Agribusiness
The Bachelor of Agribusiness prepares you for employment in areas related to agriculture, including finance, marketing, policy formation, business management and rural development. Learn the business and economics skills needed to assume managerial and leadership roles. As part of the degree, take 12 core units with the opportunity to take electives to pursue your interests.

Extended Major: Agribusiness and Agricultural Science
The global population is increasing, and with it comes the need for a profitable and economically viable agribusiness sector to meet the food and fibre demand of humanity. This extended major will combine practical business skills with your interests in agriculture to tackle the global challenge of creating a sustainable food future.

Bachelor of Science
A key focus of the Bachelor of Science is understanding, reasoning and improving the natural world through systematic observation, experimentation, modelling and calculation. A quality education in science from UWA will equip you with attributes that are highly valued and sought after by a diverse range of employers around the globe. The Bachelor of Science gives you the opportunity to harness the skills and knowledge necessary to make a real contribution to the global challenges facing humanity. Discipline areas range from cutting-edge pure and applied science to new multidisciplinary fields of science. Acquiring the communication and research skills embedded throughout each major, you will be well prepared for many diverse and exciting careers.

Major: Neuroscience
Discover the nervous system at all levels, from molecules that make up individual nerve cells and the transfer of information from one nerve cell to another, to the complexities of how behaviour, thought and emotions are produced. Neuroscientists are interested in how nervous system function can be restored after disease and injury to the brain. Studying a major in Neuroscience means you'll be taught by academics with established international reputations in neuroscience research at all levels.
