IELTS Cut-off

IELTS scores are needed to prove the English language proficiency of a student before applying to a university/college abroad. These scores vary as per the course level and eligibility for different countries’ application processes.

The IELTS cut-off for Canada is 6 not less than 5.5 bands for undergraduates whereas 6.5 not less than 6 for graduates.

Canada
Fortunately, the cut-off scores are lesser for the USA. You can get admission with 5.5 bands also. Many top-ranked universities in the country require not more than 7.5 bands.

USA
A student needs to have minimum 5.5 bands to enter an Australian university but top institutes demand 7.0 bands.

Australia
The cut-off is not that high. A student just needs to have 5 bands for undergraduates whereas 5.5 or 6 for graduates.
