Graduates of the M.A. in Forensic Psychology: Professional Counselor Licensure Track, Applied Forensic Community Services Concentration, will be prepared to provide services that address the needs of forensic populations throughout the Chicagoland area.

Forensic Psychology students at the Chicago Campus have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience at The Chicago School’s Forensic Center, which provides high-quality forensic psychological services and programming to improve the health and well-being of individuals within diverse communities. Guided by practitioner faculty, students utilize unique, real-world opportunities to conduct mental health interventions, advocacy, and/or research. Additionally, students will gain hands-on experience with forensic clients and agencies, furthering their knowledge, skills, and abilities to address the multi-faceted aspects of forensic mental health practice at the Master’s level.

Students pursuing an M.A. in Forensic Psychology may tailor their coursework to meet particular educational and professional needs in order to find employment in such areas as:

  • Correctional facilities

    The Chicago School offers scholarships and grants that range from $1,000 to $10,000 USD.

    • Dean’s Scholarship
      • Incoming new students will be considered for a Dean’s Scholarship based on their past dedication and anticipated future contributions to service, academic excellence, and The Chicago School. Award Amount: up to $5,000 (non-renewable)
    • Global Impact Scholarship
      • Applicants are required to share through video or essay format about their journey from their home country to The Chicago School and how their education will help them impact the field of psychology or behavioral health sciences on a global scale. Deadline: Oct. 1 every year. Award
      • Amount: $1,000
    • Global Leaders Scholarship
      • To be eligible for consideration, applicants must be a returning international students who studied with TCSPP at least one year, enrolled in an oncampus program in the fall semester of that year, and have maintained their status. Past scholarship winners are eligible only if budget is available.
      • Deadline: Oct. 1 every year.Award Amount: $1,000.
    • Merit Scholarship
      • Incoming new students will be considered for a Merit Scholarship based on their excellent academic achievement. Award Amount: up to $10,000.
    • President’s Scholarship
      • Incoming new students will be considered for a President’s Scholarship based on their academic promise and dedication to The Chicago School Mission
      •  commitment to diversity and community service. Award Amount: up to $7,000
    • International Student Grant
      • An international student who enrolls at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology is eligible for the International Student Grant.
