Program Overview

Explore theory within the context of neuroscience and cognitive science to develop a scientific understanding of the philosophies of the mind. A subset of understanding the nervous system and its relationship to cognition involves complex theoretical issues. Students earning a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science with a Philosophy of Mind emphasis delve into the philosophical aspects of cognition. They investigate how neural networks affect consciousness, moral judgment and other facets of the mind. Coursework also covers the study of moral and social evolutionary changes and the philosophical and ethical dynamics of science, psychiatry and more.
