LINK Train

The LINK Train offers free transportation between Terminal 1, Terminal 3, the Sheraton Gateway Hotel, the Reduced Rate Parking Lot at Viscount Station, and the employee parking lot. It runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and is wheelchair accessible. The train can be caught from the following locations:

• Terminal 1 Train platform is located on Level 5 of the Terminal 1 Parking Garage. For getting to platform from the terminal, take the West Pedestrian Bridge to the parking garage.
• Terminal 3 Train platform is located in the Terminal 3/Sheraton hotel pedestrian bridge. Go to Level 3 of Terminal 3 and follow the signs up the escalator/elevator to the Sheraton hotel, for reaching the platform.
• Sheraton Gateway Hotel Train platform is located in the Terminal 3/Sheraton hotel pedestrian bridge. Access to the train platform from the Sheraton hotel is available from the hotel lobby.

To Barrie

The Pearson international in Toronto airport is a 50 minutes drive from Barrie, taking about 20 minutes by air. You can reach the city of Barrie by plane and motorcoach. From the Lake Simcoe Regional Airport you can utilize the passenger and freight charter service, 20 minutes northeast of Barrie, between Barrie and Orilla. Greyhound Canada and Ontario Northland Bus motorcoaches also have routes that journey to Barrie. Toronto’s very efficient and reasonably priced GO Transit bus service travels daily from Barrie to Toronto and back, with a few stops in between. It is a popular transportation option for many worker bees.

Ottawa's Macdonald-Cartier International Airport is serviced by 16 airlines on a daily basis. Direct flights arrive from all major Canadian and many American cities. The "Open Skies" agreement has greatly increased air access to Ottawa through such major hubs as Newark, New York, Chicago, Detroit and Washington. As of autumn '98, Air Canada offers a direct flight from Ottawa to La Guardia Airport in New York City.

Reaching Burnaby

The students will get off at the Vancouver International airport. From here there are different options available to them for reaching Burnaby. These options include:

• Taxis: Taxis are a quick and easy way to get to and from Vancouver International Airport. A metered rate is charged by these taxis. Once through the customs and immigration process, you will enter the International Arrivals Greeting Area where you can look for the taxi stand. All taxis picking up passengers from the airport are fully licensed.
• Mini Bus: Mini Bus 22 Adults + Luggage Private Transfer. Fares per person: C$200.00
• 10 passenger van: The most practical option as a private transfer for the students is Charter vans. They can accommodate 10 passengers with luggage and skis, snowboards, or golf clubs. The fares start from C$ 106.25
• SkyTrain: This rapid transit system crosses Burnaby from east to west in two places: in the south along the Expo Line. Burnaby is also well served by Metro Vancouver's bus system, run by the Coast Mountain Bus Company, a division of TransLink.
