English Language Schools in Canada

Canada has two official languages –English and French. Thus, the international students are permitted to study either English as a Second Language (ESL) or French as a Second Language (FSL), while in Canada. Usually Indian students do not go for English Language programs as schools in India are mostly English medium and students are well prepared to take their IELTS/TOEFL exams.

Note:

• The students from around the world where English is not well spoken, usually choose to study ESL in Canada, due to the presence of many ESL schools across the country and neutral Canadian accent.
• Canada has developed considerable expertise in ESL teaching owing to the requirements of the immigrants to upgrade their English skills.
• ESL can be studied for general, business, or specific purposes. The students can also receive training in the teaching of ESL, as nearly all the universities and colleges have ESL programs.
• Generally, majority of the private ESL schools show flexibility concerning program requirements and intake dates.

French Language Schools in Canada

Both the private and public institutes offer the FSL programs. Most, but not all FSL schools are located in the province of Québec. Just like the ESL programs, students can enter a FSL school program at any time of the year and for any length of study. Students enrolled in ESL or FSL programs for nearly 6 months, are permitted to study in Canada without a Study Permit.
