The status of your application

The processing times depend on the Canadian visa office where you have submitted your application. Your application will be reviewed by the visa office. Thus, the student should ensure that he/she has completed it correctly and included all the necessary documents. The incomplete applications will not be processed and shall be returned to the student. We provide with a document checklist for the reference of the students. For ore information on all the required documents, visit your nearest Canam office.

The visa office will review your completed application and decide if an interview is necessary. If an interview is necessary, you will be informed of the same by the visa office of the time and place.

In case of address change

If you move or change your address, telephone number or any other contact information after submitting your application, the visa office, where you submitted your application, must be notified of the same.

In case of approval

You will receive the following in case your application is approved:

• A letter of introduction would be sent to you for your confirmation of approval. Do not assume this letter to be a study permit. This letter of introduction has to be brought along. This has to be shown to the immigration officials at the point of entry, when you arrive in Canada.
• If you belong to a designated country, for which Canada requires a visa, a temporary resident visa (TRV) will be issued to you. The TRV will be in your passport. The expiry date on the Temporary Resident Visa indicates the date by which you must enter Canada. You must enter Canada before the expiry of your TRV. The TRV also indicates if you can enter Canada only once (a single-entry visa) or if you are permitted to enter Canada multiple times (a multiple-entry visa).

In case your application is rejected

If your application is rejected, you will receive a letter, from the visa office, explaining the reasons of refusal. There are several reasons resulting in a refusal of the application, including:

• You failed to show proofs of having enough money to support yourself while studying in Canada.
• You failed to clear the medical examination if it was required.
• You failed to satisfy the visa officer of your primary intentions in Canada are to study.
• You failed to satisfy the visa officer that you will leave Canada after
